CURVE & SPEED ZONE STUDY

Gradient Group, LLC was responsible providing engineering services required for performing traffic engineering studies and designs including traffic signal studies, speed zone studies, signing and striping design throughout Fort Bend County for the TxDOT Houston District. TRAFFIC STUDIES included the conduct of site inspection at each 90-study location. Identify any signs related to curves. SPEED ZONE STUDIES included the conduct speed zone surveys and generated reports for 90 designated locations to provide the basis for advisory speed zoning.  Gradient was responsible for conducting the required data collect in accordance with TxDOT procedures for establishing Speed Zones. This included collecting curve advisory speed using global positioning system (GPS) method, determining advisory speed and zone Lengths, and completed the entries into strip maps using prepared at a scale of 5 inches = 1 mile and in accordance with the State’s Procedure for Establishing Speed Zones, and the TMUTCD.
