I-10 GREENHOUSE INTERSECTION

Gradient Group, LLC was selected to perform professional engineering services for improving the intersection of IH-10 and Greenhouse Road. The intersection improvements included the addition of an exclusive southbound right turn lane on Greenhouse Road at the IH-10 westbound frontage road. The proposed right turn lane creates a dual right at the intersection to help improve intersection operations. Additional improvements include the extension of storm sewer laterals and the relocation of existing inlets associated with the right turn lane addition. A sidewalk was added on the west side of Greenhouse Road and required pedestrian signal modifications at the intersection of Greenhouse Road at IH‐10 westbound frontage road. These improvements required additional ROW along the west side of Greenhouse Road and the County requested a temporary drainage easement be included with the ROW acquisition.
