HARTMAN PARK HIKE & BIKE TRAIL – CENTRAL ST. PEDESTRIAN FACILITY DESIGN

Gradient Group, LLC was selected by Harris County Precinct 2 to perform professional engineering and other associated services for the preparation of plans, specifications, and construction documents for the construction of the new pedestrian facility (sidewalk) design in addition to a new Hike & Bike Trail through Hartman Park. We saved the County time and money, generally spent on surveying, by developing construction documents from Google Earth to construct approximately 3,900 linear feet of concrete sidewalk along Central Street from Waller Street to E Avenue R.  The design included the regrading of the roadside ditches, culvert replacement and installation of 4’X4’ junction boxes, replacing existing junction box lids, and adjusting existing manholes and water valves.  Gradient also designed slotted curbs in some sidewalk curve areas to protect edge drops into the existing roadside ditch.
