UNITED INFLIGHT TRAINING CENTER

City of Houston
Gradient Group, LLC was tasked with the civil engineering design for this new $20 million training facility for all new flight attendants. The new 50,000-square-foot Inflight Training Center at George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Along with new classrooms, training spaces and storage areas, the new facility will eventually include an aquatics center. Flight attendants will be able to use the aquatics center’s commercial-sized swimming pool to practice water evacuations. The aquatic center will consist of a realistic model of an airplane fuselage suspended in a 7-foot pool located on-site. The project focused on offices and service-training facilities and was completed in spring 2022. The expanded Inflight Training Center is part of a move by United Airlines to consolidate all of its training programs for new flight attendants in Houston.
