OLD TOWN SPRING TRAFFIC & PEDESTRIAN SAFETY STUDY

Gradient Group, LLC was selected by Harris County Pct 3 Commissioner Tom Ramsey, PE to develop a safe efficient mobility plan for Old Town Spring in Harris County, Texas. The proposed improvements include continuous sidewalks and ADA ramps on both sides of Spring Cypress Road (Main Street) and Gentry Street/Midland Street. ADA-compliant bulb-outs will be installed at intersections, with high-intensity crosswalk and pavement markings enhancing pedestrian visibility. A roundabout will be added at the intersection of Spring Cypress Road (Main Street), Gentry Street, and Border Street, complementing the conversion of Main Street and Gentry Street/Midway Street to one-way traffic, which will reduce pedestrian conflict points. Multi-way stop controls at six intersections will further enhance pedestrian safety and aid in speed control. Additionally, clearly identified on-street parallel parking on both sides and guide signs will improve access and navigation.
